Crow #1: One is for Sorrow11 viewsThis particular pendant was inspired in large part by the Bob Dylan song "Love Minus Zero/ No Limit". I had been searching for Crow #1 for quite some time, but she had not yet come to me, when I happened upon this song - and immediately I recognized her. This is what I wanted her to be - this beautiful, wise and strong crow - wounded temporarily from life's heartbreaks, fragile. At the window of her lover, waiting to be healed. Forget Me Not Ring32 viewsA life sized forget me not has been carefully carved on the front of this ring. In the centre of the flower is a faceted stone in birthstone colours. This ring is a memorial piece to keep the memory of a lost loved one close. The stone can be changed for the birthstone of the one who is departed.

The Watcher at the Door23 viewsPart of my study on themes of loneliness. There is an eye on the other side of this keyhole - but is it looking in, or looking out? Has it locked itself in, and is wary of what may lay outside the door? You decide. For me, it changes daily with my mood...

Window Pendant #1 - An attempt at control34 viewsAn anatomical heart is etched in copper and sequestered behind a window. Cogs and gears have been riveted to the heart.

A study in isolation and loneliness. The metres and controls we attempt to place on our hearts - neatly contained and labeled. We can catch glimpses through the window, or maybe our heart catches glimpses of the world.

And yet, the heart remains organic and messy behind the restrictions of minutes wheels and balances.

Kuriosities...whimsical trinkets and oddities from Kimberly de Montbrun
